Day-to-day diets lack essential nutrients
It’s hard to get the essential daily nutrients your body needs from an average diet. With busy schedules, finding the time to prepare wholesome meals can seem nearly impossible. Many fast food restaurants offer a quick and easy solution to meals, but the food they serve lacks nutritional value and is usually very high in fat. In grocery stores, we often buy processed foods and frozen meals, which contain many additives that strip the foods’ nutritional value. Even the healthiest of diets can lack much-needed nutrients due to vegetables and fruit grown in depleted soils and poor farming conditions.

Your body weakens without the right nourishment
Your body is composed of trillions of cells that all work together to create an entire YOU. Imagine what would happen if, little by little, your cells began to get damaged from a lack of essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Damaged and undernourished cells can lead your body to a weakened immune system that drains you of energy and strength, and makes you more susceptible to illness. Wellavoh feeds your body the nutrients it desires or lacks, so it can fill in any gaps in nutrition.

Daily multi-vitamins are not enough
Many people take a daily multi-vitamin in order to make up for nutrient deficiencies. But this typically falls short. That’s because most daily multi-vitamins are not of the highest quality and standards. For example, they often lack the broad spectrum of nutrient classes your body needs. Or, their ingredients are made from synthetic substances, which are not easily absorbed by your body. Far too many multi-vitamins are formulated as “one type fits all,” with ingredients that aren’t gender specific. This is where Wellavoh comes in.

Take Wellavoh – the daily multi-nutrient complex for complete nutrition
Wellavoh is a solution to the daily nutritional deficiency that most people face. You can take it instead of your daily multi-vitamin because it gives you so much more. That’s why it’s called a “multi-nutrient” instead of a multi-vitamin. Wellavoh is composed of exceptional daily formulas for men and women with 22 different vitamins and minerals.

•    The men’s formula supports optimal prostate, cholesterol and blood sugar health.
•    The women’s formula supports optimal bone, skin, hormone and breast health.
•    AM and PM formulas work two ways: AM for energy and vitality during the day, PM for repair and rejuvenation during the night.
•    Four exclusive blends with rare and powerful nutrients derived from herbs, plants, fruits, oils and more.
•    Six essential nutrient classes to make a complete multi-nutrient complex.
•    Comes in easy-to-swallow, soft-gel capsules for improved absorption and maximum benefit.
•    Individually packaged for convenient, on-the-go use.

Sonoran Bloom Nopalea is Desert Power

The magic of the Sonoran Desert has long been a source of nourishment and healing for the native peoples of the Sonoran Desert region. For thousands of years the native people of this harsh desert region have relied on the native plant life to eat, house and clothe themselves, ease pain, treat diseases and much more.

Today more people are rediscovering the healing power of the abundant plant life found thriving in the harshest of the world’s deserts, the great Sonoran Desert of the Southwest, just as TriVita’s leadership did to produce its breakthrough wellness drink Nopalea.

TriVita tapped the healing power of the Nopal Cactus for Nopalea’s key healing ingredients, Betalains. All 24 known Betalains, the world’s most powerful antioxidants, are only found in the fruit of the Nopal Cactus in the vast Sonoran Desert.

As if that wasn’t phenomenal enough, the Nopal Cactus is not the only super plant that is native to the high Sonoran Desert, here are a few more:Agave

Agave. You can make tea from this succulent’s fleshy leaves to help relieve pain, then sweeten your tea with its nectar: it’s six times sweeter than sugar.

MesquiteMesquite. Called the ‘tree of life,’ this hardy tree offers pods used for jelly and a gluten-free meal, black pitch used as paint and hair dye, and bark so absorbent it was used as baby diapers.

Guayule. Healthcare professionals with latex allergies love this shru. Why? It contains rubber, and has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a substitute for latex.Jojoba

Jojoba. “Save the Whales” Actually, the oil from this plant’s seed, “saved the sperm whale,” when it was discovered that jojoba oil was a great substitute in cosmetics, and as a lubricant. It is also thought to be an appetite suppressant and burn remedy. Who knew?Yerba mansa

Yerba mansa. The dried root was used to treat mouth sores, sore throat and gum disease. As an added bonus, it has a refreshing menthol/eucalyptus taste.

“Scientists will say that plant for plant, there are as many useful plants in the desert as there are in the rainforest.” Obviously, the bounty of the desert is no mirage. The Sonoran Desert is truly an oasis of help and healing, with many rediscoveries yet to come.

Toxins: A Major Source of Inflammation

Have you ever walked down the cleaning aisle at the supermarket? What was your experience? I hate it! In fact, I completely avoid that aisle. If I need something, I hold my breath, quickly get what I need and beat a hasty retreat from that toxic soup.

The soaps, bleaches, softeners and fragrances in the cleaning aisle are all in sealed containers. Yet, they still give off an overwhelming, nauseating stench that may make a person sick for hours. What happens when we bring those containers home? They continue to give off toxins. Only now, the containers are open and the process happens 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our toxic environment
In North America we are inundated with toxins every moment of every day. Pollution in our air, water and food challenges our ability to detoxify and adapt. Worse still, the place we think of as a haven from stress – our home – is likely the most toxic environment we face in our daily routines. Toxins released from household chemicals, fabric, carpet, fragrances and pesticides seep into our body in tiny amounts even as we sleep.

Toxic waste, like barnacles on the hull of a ship, drags us down. It slows the efficiency of our mitochondria (the energy-producing engines inside our cells). Noxious chemicals create fatigue, headaches, digestive disturbances and moodiness. Eventually, toxins become the focus for inflammation.

Inflammation
Your body uses acute inflammation to try to neutralize toxicity. Think of your reaction to a bee sting: redness, swelling, heat and pain. This is not caused by the toxins in the bee venom. It is the reaction of your body as it tries to eliminate the toxicity:
• Redness is the increase in blood supply to bring in immune system antibodies and remove the neutralized venom.
• Swelling is the lymphatic fluid that dilutes the concentrated poison while providing proteins for repair of the tissue damaged by the toxins.
• Heat comes from immune system activity as it battles the invading contaminant.
• Pain causes us to guard that area from further damage.

Chronic inflammation occurs when the toxins are not completely removed from an area. A good example of this may be found in simple lawn chemicals, like fertilizers and pesticides. Certain fertilizers are potassium-based. Potassium is important for human health. When we are exposed to these fertilizers, our cells may accept the potassium along with the toxic “attachments.” Your immune system will constantly attack these contaminated cells until it destroys them. Clusters of diseases like Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis have been linked to these fertilizers.

Home sweet home – isolate and insulate
Neutralizing toxins in the body begins with isolating ourselves from chemical exposure. We must be diligent if we are to protect our family from toxic overload. Chemicals should be stored out of the living area in a place that is well-ventilated. This is especially true if there are children in the home, as developing brains are up to 10 times more likely to suffer damage from toxins than an adult nervous system.

Insulating ourselves against toxic exposure is equally important. Two nutrient classes shine when it comes to protection from pollution:
• Essential fatty acids – Many of the toxins we face are fat-soluble. We need “clean” fats in abundance to displace toxic fats in our brain, liver and other regions of our body.
• Antioxidants – Antioxidants neutralize toxins and Betalain antioxidants found in Nopal figs have two added benefits over standard antioxidants:
o Betalains drain away the toxin from an affected area
o Betalains shore up the cell membrane to help promote healing.
Betalains turn out to be our best tool in combating the causes of inflammation: toxins, stress, injury and nutrient deficiency. Use this excellent tool liberally to help you resist the increasing onslaught of toxins both inside and outside of our home sweet home!

Take Control of Your Health

  • Breathe deeply
  • Remove toxins from your living area
  • Use HEPA filters for cleaner air
  • Drink pure water
  • Granular carbon filters remove many toxins
  • Ultraviolet light kills many pathogens
  • Mineralized, alkaline water displaces poisons
  • Eat nutritiously
  • Select organic foods
  • Pre-soak fruits and vegetables
  • Focus on high-antioxidant fruits and vegetables
  • Supplement with Nopalea
    • Betalains help your body neutralize toxins
    • Betalains help your body drain away toxic waste
    • Betalains help your body repair tissue damaged by toxins
  • Supplement with OmegaPrime; at least two capsules per day helps you resist fat-soluble toxins

Find Out The Answers To Questions on Nopalea

I have had many people asking me questions about Nopalea. If you’ve read the information I have on this blog, you’ll see the health benefits but I want to address some of the key questions that continue to come up that I haven’t answered in this blog.

What does the name Nopalea mean?
The name is derived from the word “Nopal.” This is a type of cactus found in the Sonoran Desert and known for its antioxidant-rich healing properties. The Nopal cactus fruit is the key ingredient in Nopalea.

What type of fruit is the Nopalea juice made from?
The Nopal cactus fruit is key ingredient in Nopalea. The fruit is carefully harvested from the Sonoran Desert, using sustainable wildcrafting techniques that the native Sonorans have used for thousands of years.

What makes Nopalea so unique?
Nopalea contains a rare and potent class of antioxidants called betalains. Of all the known sources for betalains, the Nopal cactus fruit supplies some of the highest amounts found in all of nature.

How is Nopalea different from other Superfruit concentrates products?
While many superfruit liquid wellness concentrates are available today such as Noni, Mangosteen, and Acai, Nopalea is made from the purest and freshest Opuntia Ficus Indica (Nopal) cactus that produces a antioxidant rich Superfruit. This powerful Superfruit is unique in that it contains a rare class of Antioxidant called Betalain. The Betalain antioxidant is scientifically studied and proven to help the body detoxify itself from harmful environmental toxins which help reduce and protect against inflammation. Inflammation is now considered the number one precursor to dangerous and life threatening disease.

With so many Superfruit products available why should I use an Opuntia Ficus Indica (Nopal) product over an Acai, Noni or Mangosteen product?
There are many superfruits available and they all contain antioxidants to help slow the aging process and fight free radicals. However, none of them have the clinical research that Opuntia Ficus Indica does on helping the body detoxify and reduce inflammation. Because science has proven inflammation is a serious cause for disease Opuntia Ficus Indica could be a more prudent selection.

What are betalains?
Betalains are a rare and potent class of antioxidants found in extremely high, concentrated levels in the Nopal cactus fruit. When you drink Nopalea, you take these betalains directly into your system, where they work on the cellular level to restore your vitality.

Scientific research shows that the betalains found in the Nopal cactus fruit can help to detoxify your body, eliminating the poisons we encounter every day. Betalains also help the body reduce inflammation, protecting you from a wide variety of disorders.

How else can I get Betalain antioxidants in my diet?
There are 24 types of Betalains known to science each one having a different function. Beets contain up to 6 of the 24 Betalains; Rainbow Swiss chard contains 12 Betalains. Nopal fruit can contain up to all 24 Betalain types, especially the Opuntia Ficus Indica Nopal fruit from the Sonora Desert. There are many species of Nopal that grow around the world. Opuntia Ficus Indica thrives in the extreme environment of the Sonora Desert and when wild-harvested at the peak of ripeness can contain all 24 Betalain types.

How is the Betalain antioxidant different from other Superfruit antioxidants?
Betalains are a protein-bound antioxidant that does more than help slow aging. Betalain antioxidants can help the body reduce inflammation, detoxify the cell and restore the balance between the inside and outside of the cell for optimal cellular function. While many antioxidants have been claimed to have different health benefits, the Betalain antioxidant is specifically studied to help the body reduce inflammation on a measurable and therapeutic level. Multiple studies show that Betalain antioxidants can help the human cell detoxify and remove unwanted and dangerous toxins which help reduce inflammation.

But the best way to find out more about Nopalea is to try it. Not only is it good for you but it tastes good.

Try Nopalea and see how it can help you and if you’d like to find out how you can also earn $500 to $2,000 by sharing Nopalea, call me on 856-264-7802 or go HERE to find out more.

Nopalea and a Closer Look at the Science

TriVita has had 2 years of clinical studies proving the health benefits of Nopalea. There have been over 100 scientific studies and the prickly pear cactus which this breakthrough wellness drink is based upon has had over 278 studies.

On the Sonoran Bloom Nopalea site, some of the studies are listed but if you’re like me, you have a hard time deciphering those studies.

Yes, Nopalea can benefit you by reducing inflammation and relieving all types of pain as well as normalize blood pressure and improve breathing difficulties caused by allergies or asthma as well as supporting your cardiovascular health and more but if you try and take a look at the science behind this, it may be confusing and so I am going to offer a looking glass view at one of the studies to help you.

On the sonoran bloom site, one of the references under anti-inflammatory is:

“Antioxidant betalains from cactus pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) inhibit endothelial ICAM-1 expression.” (Gentile C, Tesoriere L, Allegra M, Livrea MA, D’Alessio P. Ann N Y Acad Sci. 2004 Dec;1028:481-6.)

And if you research it, a summary says:

It has been suggested that some pigments would have antioxidant properties and that their presence in dietary constituents would contribute to reduce the risk of oxidative stress-correlated diseases. Among others, inflammatory response depends on redox status and may implicate oxidative stress. Vascular endothelial cells are a direct target of oxidative stress in inflammation. We have tested the impact of the free radical scavenger and antioxidant properties of betalains from the prickle pear in an in vitro model of endothelial cells. Here we show the capacity of betalains to protect endothelium from cytokine-induced redox state alteration, through ICAM-1 inhibition.

English please.

Okay, here’s a brief explanation of the above study to help you.

First, what is endothelial cells? Endothelial cells relate to the endothelium, the layer of flat cells lining the closed spaces of the body such as the inside of blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, the heart, and body cavities. By contrast, the outside layer of cells that covers all the free, open surfaces of the body including the skin and mucous membranes that communicate with the outside of the body is called the epithelium.

Okay great. Now you understand what the endothelial cells are but what is oxidative stress.

Your body constantly reacts with oxygen as you breathe and your cells produce energy. As a consequence of this activity, highly reactive molecules are produced known as free radicals. Free radicals interact with other molecules within cells. This can cause oxidative damage to proteins, membranes and genes. Oxidative damage has been implicated in the cause of many diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s and has an impact on the body’s aging process. External factors such as pollution, sunlight and smoking also trigger the production of free radicals.

And what is ICAM-1?

Although ICAM-1 is expressed constitutively at low levels on endothelial cells and on some lymphocytes and monocytes, its expression can be significantly increased in the presence of cytokines (TNFalpha, IL-1, IFNgamma) and reactive oxygen species. Depending upon cell type, ICAM-1 participates in trafficking of inflammatory cells, in cell:cell interactions during antigen presentation, in microbial pathogenesis, and in signal transduction through outside-in signaling events. Again, depending upon cell type examined, ICAM-1 engagement has been documented to activate specific kinases through phosphorylation, resulting in transcription factor activation and increased cytokine production, increased cell membrane protein expression, reactive oxygen species production, and cell proliferation.

And what is cytokine?

Cytokines are a category of signaling molecules that are used extensively in cellular communication. Cytokines are critical to the development and functioning of both the innate and adaptive immune response, although not limited to just the immune system. External signals such as cytokines may normally initiate a proliferative response through binding to cell surface receptors, but the ultimate outcome of the transduced signal can be substantially modulated, or even abrogated, by prevalent intracellular conditions.

So basically inhibiting ICAM-1 protects the endothelium from these cytokine-induced redox state alerations.

All clear now? Okay, maybe it’s a little difficult to understand the research behind this but all you have to do is try Nopalea and see if it works for you. There is a 60 day money back guarantee and even if you finish the bottle, you can get your money back.

Now that’s simple. Nopalea – change your health today.

Try Nopalea and see how it can help you and if you’d like to find out how you can also earn $500 to $2,000 by sharing Nopalea, call me on 856-264-7802 or go HERE to find out more.

Inflammation and Obesity Causes Disease

An inflammatory factor already linked to several diseases, including pulmonary disease, lung cancer, and arthritis, may also be responsible for the insulin resistance that comes with obesity, according to a new study published in the April 2009 issue of Cell Metabolism.

Researchers have found that the inflammatory chemokine known as CXCL5 rises and falls with obesity and subsequent weight loss in humans. (Chemokines are structurally related signaling proteins that are secreted by cells.) They found further evidence tying the inflammatory factor, which is produced and secreted at high levels by fat tissue, to insulin resistance in mice. What’s more, they show that treatments designed to block its action improves the animals’ sensitivity to insulin.

“Clearly, this finding could be a big development for understanding the side effects of obesity,” said Lluis Fajas of INSERM in France. “It offers a new target for therapy and new hope for subjects to improve their pathology.”

Fat tissue known as white adipose tissue (WAT) is primarily involved in energy storage in the form of triglycerides and energy release in the form of free fatty acids, Fajas’ team explained. However, WAT is more than a fat storage organ; it also secretes numerous other factors with roles in both health and disease.
In the new study, the researchers show that CXCL5 is one of those factors. The chemokine is expressed at high levels in WAT, particularly in immune cells known as macrophages. Moreover, they report that CXCL5 is dramatically increased in the blood of people who are obese compared to those who are lean.

Those CXCL5 levels drop when obese people lose weight and are also lower in obese individuals that continue to respond to insulin than in those who are insulin resistant.

They further found that treatment with recombinant CXCL5 blocks insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in the muscles of mice. What’s more, treatment of obese, insulin-resistant mice with either anti-CXCL5 neutralizing antibodies or drugs that block the receptor it triggers (known as CXCR2) reverses those symptoms. Mice lacking the CXCL5 receptor are also protected against obesity-induced insulin resistance.

Overall, the findings show that CXCL5 produced by fat tissue “represents a link between obesity, inflammation, and insulin resistance.”

Interestingly, they added, the CXCR2 receptor is active outside of muscle, in cells that line blood vessel walls and in the lung and intestine, for example. Therefore, increased CXCL5 circulating levels as observed in obesity could lead to other problems, including atherosclerosis and other inflammatory diseases.
“Studies aiming to elucidate the role of WAT-secreted CXCL5 in all these obesity-related pathologies are likely to be forthcoming in the near future,” they wrote. “Inhibiting CXCL5 secretion or function in obese individuals may not only ameliorate their insulin sensitivity, but could also decrease the risk of developing other major obesity-related pathologies.”

Again inflammation is shown to be a contributing factor, if not a triggering factor in obesity related diseases.

So how to reduce inflammation? Nopalea has been proven to reduce inflammation. We have great testimonials of people getting results within weeks, but it’s not just from the testimonials – it’s backed by science. TriVita has conducted over 100 scientific tests with 2 years of clinical studies on Nopalea and the prickly pear cactus which is the main ingredient in Nopalea has had 278 scientific tests.

TriVita is aligned with top hospitals and universities as well as having their own research center and they are known for their high quality products. Their medical board uses their extensive health and nutrition knowledge to approve proprietary TriVita supplements based on the latest scientific research and the health and wellness concerns of their Members. Even though TriVita offers a 60 day unconditional money back guarantee, TriVita has a less than 1% return rate with their 2 million customers and the reason is their products deliver.

Try Nopalea and see how it can help you in reducing inflammation and try TriVita’s Leanology products that have been scientifically proven to controlling weight loss.

Truth About Nopalea

My Nopalea story may not be as earth shattering as many of the stories I am hearing, like many people getting relief from fibromyalgia. That is exciting and groundbreaking news, especially for those who suffer from that painful and chronic condition.

My story starts in October of 2008, when I was on a fishing trip I injured my right shoulder in a boating incident. The Maurice River in southern New Jersey is a particularly fast moving tidal river, when the tide starts to run out to the Delaware Bay it is fast and furious, making boating a little tricky. Not being very experienced, it was left to me to tie the bow of the boat to the dock while we got fuel. The tide was really running out at full speed and I didn’t do such a great job tying the bow of the boat to the dock. I looked over and saw the bow of the boat begin to pull away from the dock, this was a 30 foot boat so when it started to move with the current it became a considerable force. I ran over to the edge of the dock, the line was already in the water, so I grabbed the bow rail and tried to pull the boat back to the dock. Instead the boat started to pull me into the fast moving river. At that point I couldn’t let go or I would fall into the fast moving current and most certainly drown. I called for my friend to grab me around the waist, luckily he did and I am here to tell the story. What did happen is I hyper extended my right shoulder pulling the boat back to the dock with the help of my friend pulling me by the waist.

I could not get any long term relief from the pain in my shoulder. Ibuprofen only lasted a couple of hours at a time and you just can’t take that much Ibuprofen and remain in good health. It was extremely painful just to wash my hair in the shower, I had to put my elbow against the shower wall to keep my arm up long enough to complete washing my hair. My first bottle of Nopalea arrived in April of this year. By that time I was unable to lift my arm above mid torso without severe pain. After a few days of using Nopalea I started to feel some relief, I figured it could just be a coincidence, maybe I just wasn’t moving it in the wrong directions lately. After about ten days after I started drinking Nopalea I noticed a significant improvement, I could wash my hair without pain, Still not totally convinced I waited a little longer before telling anyone. Finally I was ready to testify, three weeks after starting to drink a couple of ounces of Nopalea everyday, my pain was completely gone. My shoulder still clicks when I move it above my head, but there is no pain.

If you knew me you would understand the significance of me, telling this story. When I first started hearing the testimonies of my fellow TriVita associates I was beginning to wonder what I was thinking when I decided to place my future and retirement plans in TriVita. When I decided to join TriVita and work this business it seemed like a logical and sound decision on my part, the business model was logical and unique, you can’t beat TriVita’s cooperative marketing business model. Now it was beginning to sound more like a cult, I was beginning to second guess my decision and started to wonder what I was going to do now. I was in fear of losing everything I had invested and worse than that losing my belief and faith in the business. I have been involved in several network opportunities and have experienced the ‘Hype’ spread through the membership over a product that ends up not living up to the mind blowing accolades and wild testimonies of the leadership and many of the membership. It has been my experience that this scenario is always followed by a complete collapse of the business.

What now? The only course left to me was to try Nopalea myself, it can’t be as good as these people claim. Skeptic that I am, I knew I could not convince myself that something worked when it actually didn’t, I won’t drink the KoolAide under any circumstances, I am not able to maintain the charade. You already know what happened then.

When I spoke to my direct upline and told my story, I asked that she not repeat if just yet, I wanted to see if it lasted, how;s that for skepticism and I not even from Missouri, worse yet I’m from Jersey.

By the way it has lasted, I am a believer, and Nopalea works!

Nopal is native to the American continent. However, so impressed with its properties were the Spaniards,Prickly Pear Cactus they took Nopal from the Americas to many countries of the world beginning in the 1400’s. However, it has been proven that it’s only in the Sonoran Desert with it’s extreme inflamed environment that all 24 betalains are produced in the Prickly Pear Cactus. So you could have the cactus from someplace else but you won’t get the same benefits.

Surprisingly, it is only in recent years that medical researchers and food scientists have begun to scientifically study and report the chemical composition and nutrient values of Nopal. Today, there is a growing body of research on Nopal, the findings of which suggest that Nopal contains many of the “phytochemicals” that health and nutrition specialists consider to be important in aiding the human body regulate and maintain itself in a healthy state including its ability to resist certain types of health disorders such as Diabetes, heart disorders and cancer.

There have been over 278 scientific peer-reviewed studies done on the benefits of the prickly pear cactus. TriVita has also had 2 years of clinical studies on Nopalea proving the health benefits.

In recent years hospital-based medical practitioners, health scientists in private practice and researchers at such institutions as the USDA Agriculture Research Service Food and Nutrition Laboratory at Beltsville, Maryland and a number of University-based Health Science and Nutrition Centers have subjected Nopal to increasing study.

Classified as a vegetable, testing by the USDA has revealed Nopal to contain beneficial soluble and insoluble dietary fiber and essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other phytochemicals that have been diminished or lost in the modern diet. Conversely, Nopal is low in carbohydrate calories and sodium, and the carbohydrates that are found in Nopal are less likely to trigger elevated blood sugar levels. Nopalea is only 5 calories and has no perservatives because with the propietary harvesting method it goes straight from the desert to the drink.
